Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 20, 2026

Welcome to SmallBusinessAlberta.ca. By registering an account, initializing a business profile, or utilizing our directory search parameters, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these provisions, please do not initialize services on this platform.

1. Directory Enrollment & Account Responsibilities

To register and claim a business profile among our 50,000+ targeted provincial listings, the operator must be an authorized corporate officer, founder, or designated agent of the active Albertan business entity. You are solely responsible for updating and maintaining the structural accuracy of all address details, descriptions, and tag criteria published to your unique slug.

2. Freemium Model vs. A La Carte Upgrades

Basic catalog registry is completely free of charge. Optional marketing placements, lead-generation optimizations, website development modules, and custom workflows are billed strictly as an a la carte premium service layer. Subscriptions or specific standalone campaigns will be billed clearly upfront according to the dynamic package schedules chosen at purchase.

3. Prohibited Content & Platform Abuse

Users are explicitly blocked from submitting deceptive or fraudulent entities, un-licenced activities requiring provincial certification, or misrepresenting localized demographic status. We retain total editorial authority to modify slugs, suspend profile metrics, or completely delete records that violate localized community standards or fail verification checks.

4. Governing Law

These conditions and all activities on this hub are governed entirely by the provincial legislation of Alberta and the federal frameworks of Canada. Any legal arbitration or systemic dispute remediation shall reside explicitly inside the jurisdiction courts of the Province of Alberta.
